Notice for JAT Caste/Community Candidates of CSIR-UGC NET EXAM June 2015

In light of the Hon’ble Supreme Court judgment dated 17.3.2015 in W.P. No.274 of 2014 (Ram Singh & others Vs. Union of India) quashing inclusion of ‘JAT’ caste/community under OBC Category, all candidates belonging to Jat Caste/community, who have applied under OBC Category for June, 2015 NET Exam are requested to furnish the following details immediately (latest by 15.9.2015) through E.mail on following Email ID: examunit@csirhrdg.res.in in order to process their candidature as a general category candidate.

They are also requested to submit the difference of fee of Rs. 500/- (Rupee five hundred) in the form of Demand Draft in favor of “Under Secretary, CSIR Complex” separately by Post at the earliest along with a covering letter mentioning their Name, Roll No. Father’s name, Mailing Address to consider them as General Category Candidates. The Demand Draft may be sent on the following

SUBJECTS OF THE TEST
The Test will be held in the subjects as given under:

- Life Sciences
- Mathematical Sciences
- Physical Sciences
SCHEME OF THE TEST: The single paper MCQ based test will be held tentatively on Sunday, the 20th, December 2015 as under:

SYLLABUS OF THE TEST
The question paper shall be divided into three parts, (A, B & C) as per syllabus & Scheme of Exam.
Part ‘A’ shall be common to all subjects. This part shall contain questions pertaining to General Aptitude with emphasis on logical reasoning, graphical analysis, analytical and numerical ability, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc.
Part ‘B’ shall contain subject-related conventional Multiple Choice questions (MCQs), generally covering the topics given in the syllabus.
Part ‘C’ shall contain higher value questions that may test the candidate’s knowledge of scientific concepts and/or application of the scientific concepts. The questions shall be of analytical nature where a candidate is expected to apply the scientific knowledge to arrive at the solution to the given scientific problem.

Negative marking for wrong answers, wherever required, shall be applicable as per subject wise scheme of Exam.
EXAMINATION CENTRES the test will be held at 26 Centres spread all over India, as specified below:
